Detailed Solution

A force acts on a body of mass 3 kg causing its speed to increase from 4m/s to 5 m/s. Work done will be 13.5 Joule.
According to the work-energy conversion theorem;
Work done by the force = Change in Kinetic energy
Work done by the force =12 ×m×(v2 -u2 )
Given:
u(initial velocity)=4m/s
v(final velocity)=5m/s
m=3kg
Work done by the force =12 ×m×(v2 -u2 )
Work done by the force =12 ×3×(52 -42 )
Work done by the force =12 ×3×(25 -16 )
Work done by the force =12 ×3×9
=13.5 Joule
