A force of 5 N produces an acceleration of 8 mS2 in mass m1 kg and acceleration of 24 mS2 in mass m2 kg.  If same forces act on both the masses combined together, the acceleration will be 6 ms-2.
Given data in the problem,
Force, = 5 N
acceleration,  a1= 8mS2
acceleration, a2= 24 mS2
As we know that,
= m × a Force = mass × acceleration m1 = Fa1= 58 m2 = Fa2= 524 So, total mass
=58+524 =56 kg So, the acceleration produced in M
=FM =556 = 6 ms-2 Acceleration will be 6 ms-2.
