Detailed Solution

Cost of apples per kg = Rs. 12.50
Hence cost of 80 kg apples = 80 Rs. 12.5.
           = Rs. 1000
On selling 50 kg apples last in curred* = 10% cost price of 50 kg apples
= 50 Rs. 12.50 = 625   Selling price = Question ImageQuestion ImageQuestion ImageSelling price to gain 20% on whole
= Rs. 1000 + 20% of Rs. 1000
= Rs. 1000 + Rs 200 = Rs 1200
Money that needs to be recovered on selling remaining apples = Rs. 1200 – Rs. 562.50
= Rs. 637.50
Hence the price per kg for 30 kg of apples
Question ImageHence option (1) is correct.
