Let the molecular formula of bydrocarbon =CxHy
Reaction  CxHy  10ml+(x+y4)O2 10(x+y4)mlxCO2  10xml+y2H2O
From reaction contraction in volume is given as: 
 10+10(x+y4)10x=25(given)   y=6
Now, Formula of hydrocarbon =CxH6
Mol. wt. of  CxH6=(12×x)+(6×1)=2×15
 x=2
Hence, Molecular formula of hydrocarbon =C2H6
