Detailed Solution

Given,
Rate=25/7 liters per second
Diameter= 3 m
Calculate the volume of hemispherical tank V=23πr3
=23×227×322=9914m3=9914×1000 litres =9900014litres
So, volume of water to be emptied
=12× Volume of tank
=12×9900014
=9900028litres
Now Rate=25/7 liters per second
Thus,
257 litres=1sec
For one liter time taken,
1 litres=725sec
Time taken for 990008litres,
=725×9900028sec
=693000700
=990 sec
=99060min
=16.5 min
Option 1 is correct.
