James Mill wrote the History of British India.
The first individual to chronicle British India was James Mill. On April 6, 1773, James Mill was born. He came from Scotland. He was a philosopher, an artisan, an economist, and a historian. A founding member of the Ricardian School of Economics, he produced colossal writings, including The History of British India. He categorised Indian history into three groups: Hindu, Muslim, and British. Everyone was generally in agreement with this division. His approach combined a scientific and philosophical approach because he was both an economist and a philosopher.
