Detailed Solution

It is given that the angle of elevation of the window from the bottom of the first house is 60o
The distance between the two houses be 6 m.
We have to find the height of the first house
We use tanθ=Opposite SideAdjacent Side.
Question Image In ADC, ADAB=tan60° 63AB=3  AB=6m
DC=6m  [since AB=DC]
Similarly, in DEC,  DCEC=tan60°
6EC=3   [since tan60°= 3]
EC=23
h=EC+CB
h=23+63
h=83m
Hence, the height of the first house is 83m.
Therefore, the correct option is 2.
