As per the question, the sum of all three colors of marbles is 54.
The probability of selecting a blue marble is

13

.
The probability of selecting green marble is

49

.
The marbles are of color blue(b), green(g), and white(w).
Hence, we can represent it as,

b + g + w = 54

P b l u e = b 54 13 = b 54 b = 18

So, number of blue balls is 18.

P g r e e n = g 54 49 = b 54 g = 24

The number of green balls is 24.
Therefore,

18 + 24 + w = 54 w = 12

Hence, the jar contains 12 white marbles.
