S=ut+12at2Distance covered by lift in 10 sec: S=0+12(1.25)(10)2 S=62.5m V=0+1.25×10 V=12.5m/s time taken to cover 40 m distance:   40=12(1.25)t2 t=8svelocity at 40 m distance :     V=0+1.25×8 V=10 m/s
For BOLT,

S=ut+12at2
40=10t5t2t22t8=0t=4s

Time taken by bolt to reach the ground = 4 s
Distance travelled by lift from t =8s to t =10s
S1=ut+12at2 =10×2+12×1.25×22=22.5 mdistance travelled in t=10 s to t=12 sS2=12.5×2=25m
hence, Height of lift = 40 + 22.5 + 25 = 87.5m
