The triple point is the temperature and pressure at which the solid, liquid, and gaseous phases of a particular substance coexist in equilibrium.

The critical point is defined as the temperature, pressure, and density at which the liquid and gaseous phases of a particular substance become identical.

Melting point: The temperature at which a solid substance transforms into a liquid substance is known as the melting point.

Boiling point: The temperature at which a liquid substance transforms into a gaseous substance is known as the boiling point.

As a result, a liquid can only exist between its boiling and melting points, as above the boiling point it becomes a gas and below the melting point it becomes a solid.
