Detailed Solution

When a load of 200 kg is pulled up by 4 m, the work done is 7840 J
It has been given that mass of the load (m)=200 kg, height through which the load is pulled (h)=4 m and gravitational acceleration (g) is 9.8 m/s2
The magnitude of work done by pulling up the load (W) would be equal to the potential gained by the load as a result of being lifted.
Mathematically, Potential energy (P.E.) can be expressed as
P.E.=mgh
Where m is the mass of the object, g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the height of the object. Therefore,
P.E.=200×9.8×4
P.E.=7840 J
Since, W=P.E.
Therefore, work done in pulling up the load is 7840 J
