A lorry and a car moving with same KE are brought to rest by applying the same retarding force. Then

Here we are given that lorry and car have same K.E

${\text{k}}_{\text{1}}={\text{k}}_{\text{2}}\left({\text{m}}_{\text{1}}>{\text{m}}_{\text{2}}\right)$

Same force F is applied and both are brought to rest

We know work done = change in K.E

Here both have gained same change in K.E, due to same force ${\text{Fs}}_{\text{1}}={\text{Fs}}_{\text{2}}$

Therefore both will come to rest in the same distance
