It is given a lot of 20 bulbs contain 4 defective ones.

When drawn bulb is not defective and not replaced, total number bulbs left=20 - 1=19
Total number of defective bulbs = 4
Number of non-defective bulbs= 19 - 4= 15
Now, the probability of an event E is given as-
P(E)= Number of outcomes favourable to E Number of all possible outcomes of the experiment  
Therefore, the probability of getting a non-defective bulb is-
P getting a non-defective bulbs = Number of non-defective bulbs Total number of bulbs = 15 19  
Hence, 15 19   is the probability of getting a non-defective bulb.
