Solution: Speed of the man in still water = 15 km/hr

Speed of water running = 7 km/hr

Down stream = 15+7=22 kmph

Up stream = 15 – 7 8 kmph

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{22} + \frac{x}{8} = \frac{180}{60}$

$\frac{4 x + 11 x}{88} = 3$

$15 x = 264$

$x = 17.6 k m$
