Detailed Solution

Given that, a man has 20 paise coins and 25 paise coins.
Let no of 20 paise coins =x
No of 25 paise coins =y
According to the question
x+y=50 x=50-y……….(1)
And 20x+25y=1125
4x+5y=225……………(2)
Substituting the value of x from equation (1),
4(50-y)+5y=225…………….(3)
200-4y+5y=225 y=25 Substituting y=25 in equation (1),
x+25=50 x=25 Thus, no. of 20 paise coins =25 and no. of 25 paise coins =25.
Therefore, option (1) is correct.
