Suppose d is the total distance between two cliffs and x is the distance between the man and one cliff.
  2x=v×t1
x=v×t12
x=340×1.52
x=255 m
distance between the man and Second cliff.
2(d-x)=v×t2
(d-x)=v×t22
(d-x)=v×t22
(d-x)=340×3.52
(d-x)=595m
So, Total distance
d=595+x
    =595+255
    =850 m
