Detailed Solution

Give that the man left with Rs 210,
A man loses 1212=12.5 % of his money.
Let the money the man had = Rs 100
Then the money lost = Rs 12.5
Therefore, remaining money = 100-12.5 = Rs.87.5
The 70% of the remaining,
⇒Rs 87.5×70100
⇒Rs 61.25
Remaining money = 87.5-61.25 = Rs.26.25
As given, he is left with Rs.210
Total amount = 21026.25×100
Rs.800 Hence, the man initially had Rs. 800.
Therefore, the correct option is 2.
