Detailed Solution

Given that, a man sold lemons at 4 for a rupee, the same lemons which he had bought at 6 for a rupee.
We have the following formulas,
Gain=S.P-C.P
Gain%= Gain C.P ×100
Where,
S.P.= Selling Price
C.P.=Cost Price
Observe that,
CP of six lemons = Rs 1 CP of one lemon
= Rs 16 CP of four lemon
 = Rs 46 SP of four lemon
= Rs 1
To find the gain obtained, we apply,
Gain=S.P-C.P
= 2 3 = 1 3
To find the percentage profit on selling the lemons. Apply,
Gain%= Gain C.P ×100
Gain%= 3 2×3 ×100 = 100 2 % =50%
The percentage gain on the lemons is 50%.
Hence, the correct option is 1.
