Detailed Solution

Given that, weight of man on earth, We = 600 N
Acceleration due to gravity on earth, ge = 10 ms-2
Now, we know that m = Wege
⸫ m = 60010 = 60 kg
So, the mass of a man on earth is 60 kg.
Again solving the solution for gravity on moon
Given that, weight of man on moon, Wm = 100 N
Mass of a man on moon = 60 kg     (taking the same mass as on earth)
Now, we know that m = Wmgm
⸫ 60 = 100gm = 1.67 ms-2
So, the value of g on the moon is 1.67 ms-2.
