A manuscript of Rigveda is found in Kashmir.
1)      Archaeologists have found a page of a manuscript of the Rigveda on birch bark in Kashmir. Historians used this manuscript to prepare one of the earliest printed texts of Rigveda, as well as an English translation about 150 years ago. They preserved it in a library in Pune, Maharashtra.
2)      Vedas are among the oldest texts in history – the Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda and Atharvaveda.
3)      The oldest is the Rigveda, which was written roughly 3500 years ago. It contains more than a thousand hymns, referred to as sukta or "well-said," in honour of numerous deities. Agni, Indra, and Soma are widely mentioned in Rigveda.
