Given that a wall of dimensions

270 cm × 300 cm × 350 cm

with bricks each of size

22.5 cm × 11.25 cm × 8.75 cm

and

space is covered by the mortar.
We have the following formula,
Volume of a cuboid

= l × b × h

The volume of the wall will be,

= 270 × 300 × 350 = 28, 350, 000 cm 3

The volume of brick will be,

= 22.5 × 11.25 × 8.75 = 2214.84375 cm 3

Space occupied by the mortar will be,

= 18 × volume of wall = 18 × 28350000 = 3, 543, 750 cm 3

The space left for bricks will be,
The volume of wall – space occupied by mortar
=28350000-3543750

= 24, 806, 250 cm 3

The number of bricks will be,

= space efeft for brick valumes of 1 bricks = 24806200 2214.84375 = 11, 200

Thus, the number of bricks will be 11200.
