Detailed Solution

Given, internal diameter 10 cm and four equal spherical balls of diameter 2 cm each are dropped in it.
Radius of cylinder =5 cm.
Radius of sphere= 1cm.
We know that volume of cylinder= π r 2 h and volume of sphere= 4 3 π r 3 .
The volume of water increased = Volume of 4 balls which means,
  π× 5 2 ×h=4( 4 3 ×π× 1 3 ) 25hπ= 16 3 ×4π×4 h=3.41cm .
The change in the level of water is 3.41 cm.
Therefore, the given statement is true i.e., the change in the level of water in the jar is 3.41 cm.
