Detailed Solution

At points A and B tangential acceleration of the particle is zero .As the particle is moving from B to A , its tangential acceleration gradually increases from zero to a maximum and again decreases to zero . As a result speed of the particle gradually increases as it moves from B to A .

When the particle moves from A to B ,its tangential  acceleration opposes its velocity , as a result speed of the particle gradually decreases and becomes minimum at B.
