Since the resistive force offered by air is constant , the resultant of air drag and gravity force acting on the particle is also constant which means acceleration of the particle is also constant .Also the angle between the velocity of projection and acceleration  is not 00 or 1800. Hence the path of projectile is a parabolic path.
