A particle is moving in a circular path of radius r. The displacement of the half circle would be 2r.
A circular motion is the movement of a body along a circular path.
The displacement is the shortest distance measured between the starting and ending points.
Once the particle has covered half of the circle, the displacement can be easily estimated by measuring the shortest possible distance between the beginning (A)  and final point  (B).
The shortest path after half-circle displacement is along line AB, which is the diameter of the circle.
