A passenger in a moving train tosses a coin which falls behind him, it means that the motion of the train is accelerated.
If the coin falls at the back of the passenger that means the train is accelerated. Whilst the coin is tossed it has the same velocity as that of train, however during the time it is in air its velocity becomes much less than that of train. Hence, it falls behind the passenger.
