$6 = 4 t + \frac{1}{2} \times - 1 \times t^{2}$

$12 = 8 t - t^{2}$

$t^{2} - 8 t + 12 = 0$

$t^{2} - 6 t - 2 t + 12 = 0$

$t (t - 6) - 2 (t - 6) = 0$
