Detailed Solution

Given that a person purchases 20 litres of juice at Rs.2.20 per litre  and diluted it with water to  make the contents 22 litres.
Then,
Volume of juice purchased =20litres
Rate at which juice purchased =Rs.2.20 per litre
Cost price of juice =20×2.2
Cost price of juice =Rs.44
In order to gain 10% profit, Selling price =100+Profit%100×Cost Price Selling price=110100×44 Selling price=Rs. 48.4
Final volume of juice after dilution =22 litres.
Rate of selling = Selling PriceFinal volume Rate of selling =48.422 Rate of selling=Rs.2.20
Thus, he should sell it at the rate of Rs. 2.20.
Therefore, the correct option is 1.
