It is given a piggy bank contains hundred 50p coins, fifty ₹1 coins, twenty ₹2 coins and ten ₹5 coins.
The probability of an event E is given as;
P(E)= Number of outcomes favourable to E Number of all possible outcomes of the experiment  
Given, number of 50p coins in the bank = 100.
Number of ₹1 coins in the bank =50.
Number of ₹2 coins in the bank =20.
Number of ₹5 coins in the bank =10.
Total number of the coins in the bank = 100 + 50 + 20 + 10 = 180.
Therefore, the probability of getting a ₹5 coin is;
⇒P(Rs.5)= 10 180 = 1 18  
Now, the probability of not getting a ₹5 coin is;
⇒P not Rs.5 =1−P(Rs.5) ⇒P not Rs.5 =1− 1 18 ⇒P not Rs.5 = 18−1 18 ⇒P not Rs.5 = 17 18 ≈0.945  
Therefore, 0.945 is the probability that the coin will not be a ₹5 coin.
Hence option (1) is correct.
