The motion of the positive charge can be treated as a current flowing through a wire.

As the positive charge approaches the upward magnetic flux linked with the coil increases so according to Lenz's law induced current produce a downward magnetic field so clockwise current will flow. When the same charge goes away upward flux decreases hence current flow in opposite direction.
