Detailed Solution

The Parliament must provide its consent to an emergency declaration made in accordance with Article 352 within a month.
When the Prime Minister's cabinet requests it, the President declares a state of emergency. An emergency may be proclaimed in accordance with Article 352 of the Indian Constitution if an armed insurrection, war, or external aggression poses an immediate threat to national security. Before taking effect, each proclamation must be delivered to each House of Parliament. Unless they are extended by the parliament for a further six months at the president's discretion, proclamations are valid for one month from the date of issue.
