A proton is moving along positive x-axis in the presence of uniform magnetic field along positive y-axis. The force is acting along positive z-axis.
Magnetic field is the region in which an electric charge experiences magnetic influence. Due to the magnetic field, the moving charges experience force acting on them. The direction of force is perpendicular to the velocity and to the magnetic field.
The force is given by F=q(v ×B)
As velocity is along positive x-axis and magnetic field is along positive y-axis, so direction of force is along positive z-axis, i.e., perpendicular to velocity and magnetic field direction.
