Detailed Solution

It is given that a railway half ticket costs half the cost of a full ticket and the reservation charges are the same on a half ticket and a full ticket.
One reserved first-class ticket from station A to B costs Rs 2530.
Also, one reserved first-class ticket and one reserved first-class half ticket from A to B costs Rs 3810.
Let the cost of one full ticket be Rs x and the reservation cost for a ticket be Rs y.
Then the cost of the half ticket would be Rs x 2  .
According to the given condition, we get,
x+y=2530  ..... (1)
And,
x+y+ x 2 +y=3810 3x 2 +2y=3810 3x+4y=7620  ......  (2)
On multiplying equation (1) by 4 and subtracting equation (2), we get,
4x3x+4y4y=101207620 x=2500
On substituting the value of x= 2500 in the equation (1), we get,
2500+y=2530 y=30
Thus, the cost of a full fare for the first-class ticket from station A to B is Rs. 2500 and the reservation charge is Rs 30.
Hence, the correct option is 3.
