Therefore, by rotating along the length, a cylinder is formed in which the circumference of its base is 44 cm and height(h) is 20 cm.
Question ImageCircumference of the base of the cylinder is 2πr  .
So,
2πr=44  
2× 22 7 ×r=44  
44 7 r=44  
44r=44×7  
r=7   cm
The volume of the cylinder is,
V=πr 2 h V= 22 7 × 7 2 ×20  
V= 22 7 ×7×7×20  
V=3080 cm 3  
Therefore, the volume of the cylinder is 3080c m 3  .
