Detailed Solution

A retailer is a person who sells goods at their shop.
We know that we buy goods from the market. We generally don't care about the origin of goods. Whether the shopkeeper produces goods or if they come from another market. Goods are produced in factories and farms or homes. However, we don't purchase directly from the warehouse or the field. Nor would the producers be interested in selling us small quantities such as one kilo of dal or one plastic mug. The middleman in between the factory and the purchaser is the trader. The wholesale seller first purchases goods in bulk quantities. Then be sold to the other traders. The trader who finally sells the goods to consumers is the retailer.
