Given a road which is 7 m wide surrounds a circular park whose circumference is 352 m.
The circumference of the circle is,

C = 2 π r

⇒ 2 × 227 × r = 352

⇒ r = 352 × 7 22 × 2

⇒ r = 56 m

The radius of park including the road = 56 + 7 m.
Area of circle is

The radius of the park including road is 56+7 m and radius of park without road is 56m.
The area of road = area of park including the road – area of park without road

⇒ A = 227 × 56 + 7 2 − 227 × 562

⇒ A = 227 × 63 × 63 − 227 × 56 × 56

⇒ A = 22 × 9 × 63 − 22 × 8 × 56

⇒ A = 12474 − 9856

⇒ A = 2618 m 2

Therefore, area of the road is

2618 m 2
