Let the impulse from the wall on the rod be J,

After this impulse the velocity of centre of mass will be v'=mv-Jm....(1)

And the angular velocity of the rod about centre of mass be ω, this is given by ω=J.L2mL212.....(2)

So the velocity of the point B will be given by vB=v'-L2ω, ......(3)

Since the collision is elastic vB=-v

using the equations, 

mv-Jm-L2J.L2mL212=-v

J=mv2

Using the value of J in (2)

ω=mv2L2mL212=3vL
