A rope has a length of 35m. A person wants to cut the rope into pieces of  $3\frac{1}{2}m$ each. Find the number of pieces made from the rope. 

Given: - Rope length = 35m 

Length of cut pieces =$3\frac{1}{2}m$ =$\frac{3\times 2+1}{2}$ =$\frac{7}{2}m$

No. Of pieces to be cut =$\frac{Rope Length}{Length of cut pieces}$ =$\frac{35}{\frac{7}{2}}$ =$\frac{35\times 2}{7}$=$\frac{70}{7}$= 10  

So, there will be 10  pieces that can be cut from a rope of 35m length.
