Q.

A sample of water from a large swimming pool has resistance of 104 ohm at 25°C when placed in a conductivity cell. When filled with 0.02 M KCl solution the cell has resistance of 100 ohm at 25°C. An amount of 585 g of NaCl was dissolved in the pool which was thoroughly stirred. A sample of this solution gave a resistance of 8000 ohm. Molar conductivity of NaCl at this concentration is 125 ohm1.  cm2.  mol1 and molar conductivity of 0.02 M KCl is 200 ohm1.  cm2.  mol1. Find volume of water in pool in m3.
