Detailed Solution

Concept: We will multiply (25 × 29)(25 × 29) to find out the total purchase price paid by the shopkeeper and deduct it from the money received by the seller from selling the mixture of both types of rice to find out the price.
Total price paid by the shopkeeper when he purchased two types of rice at different rates = Rs(25 × 29)+Rs(25 × 20)
= Rs725 + Rs500
= Rs 1225
Total money received by the shopkeeper when he sold the mixture of both types of rice = 50  kg =25 kg + 25 kg at the rate of Rs 27 per kg = Rs 50 × 2
His profit in this transaction = money received from selling price - total purchase price
= Rs1350 - Rs1225= Rs125
Therefore, his profit in this transaction is Rs125.
Hence, the correct answer is option (1).
