Given that a shopkeeper buys an article for Rs. 7,500 and increases its price and then sells this article for Rs. 9,156 including 9% sales tax on the increased price.
Let shopkeeper increase the price Rs.x.

∴ x + 9 % ofx = 9156

\Rightarrow x + \frac{9 x}{100} = 9156

\Rightarrow \frac{109 x}{100} = 9156

\Rightarrow 109 x = 915600

\Rightarrow x = \frac{915600}{109}

\Rightarrow x = Rs . 8400

Increment

= 8400 - 7500

\Rightarrow

Increment

= Rs . 900

So,
Increment %

= \frac{Increment}{C . P} \times 100

Increment %

= \frac{900}{7500} \times 100

\Rightarrow

Increment %= 12%
Thus, the increment % is 12%.
Therefore, the correct option is 2.
