Detailed Solution

Given that a shopkeeper buys an article for Rs. 7,500 and increases its price and then sells this article for Rs. 9,156 including 9% sales tax on the increased price.
Let shopkeeper increase the price Rs.x.
 x+9% ofx=9156
x+9x100=9156
109x100=9156 109x=915600
x=915600109
x=Rs.8400
Increment =8400-7500
Increment =Rs.900
So,
Increment %=IncrementC.P×100
Increment % =9007500×100
Increment %= 12%
Thus, the increment % is 12%.
Therefore, the correct option is 2.
