Concept- If we were asked to provide a discount, the profit would have been even higher than the profit realised earlier. S.P., the discount, and the profit are provided to us. In order to calculate the profit before the discount, we must first determine the actual selling price that was advertised on television. The cost price will then be determined from it, followed by the profit.
Let the marked price of the TV be x.
Given discount is 8% then the sale is for 100-8=92%, i.e.

Then for 17940 he earned 19.6% profit,
Here, the total percentage of gain to the shopkeeper is 100+19.6 =119.6%. Therefore,
