Detailed Solution

Given that,
The marked price of the necklace = Rs.1200.
During the normal season, the discount rate = 25%.
We know that,
Discount rate =  Discount price Marked price ×100%   25% =  Discount price 1200 ×100% Discount price= 25×1200 100 Discount price=Rs.300
Therefore, the price of the necklace during the normal season = Rs. 1200300 .   =Rs.900.
Now, during the off-season, the extra discount rate shopkeeper offered = 30%.
Discount rate =  Discount price Marked price ×100%   30% =  Discount price 900 ×100% Discount price= 30×900 100 Discount price=Rs.270
Therefore, the price of the necklace during the off-season = Rs. 900270 =Rs.630.   Hence, option (2) is correct.
