The Dhangars are communities of scheduled tribes and work as shepherds, blanket weavers, etc. Typically, they are Maharashtrian natives. Dhangar is a member of a herding caste primarily prevalent in Maharashtra, followed by Karnataka, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh in India.
