Given- overhead tank of measurement

40 m × 25 m × 15 m

.
And the population of 5000, requires

75 L

of water per head per day.

Volume of tank = l b h = 40 × 25 × 15 = 15000 m 3 = 15000000 lit .   [1m 3 =1000L]

Water required per day to population = 5000 (75) = 375000 lit .

Water tank last for = 15000000375000 = 40 days .

Thus, for 40 days the water of this tank last.
Therefore, option 4 is the correct option.
