Detailed Solution

(i) Cubidol shape tin can

Dimensions of the tin can are, Length = 5 cm, Breadth = 4 cm and Height = 15 cm

We know that volume of the cuboid = l×b×h

Capacity of tin can = 5 × 4 × 15 = 300 cm3

(ii) Plastic cylinder will be cylindrical in shape.

Dimensions of the plastic can are, Radius, r = 3.5cm and Height , H = 10 cm

We know that volume of the cylinder = πr2h

Capacity of plastic cylinder = (22/7) × (3.5)2 × 10 = 385 cm3

From the results of (i) and (ii), we can say that the plastic cylinder has more capacity.

Difference in capacity = 385-300 = 85cm3
