A solution in which no more of soluble substances can be dissolved at a given temperature is called a saturated solution and a solution in which more of the soluble substances can be dissolved at a given temperature is called an unsaturated solution.
A solution in which no more solute can be dissolved in a given amount of solvent at a particular given temperature or at room temperature is called a saturated solution. It has the maximum amount of solute dissolved and additional solute cannot be added.  A solution in which more solute can be dissolved in a given amount of solvent at room temperature or at a particular given temperature is called an unsaturated solution. We can add additional solute in it.
