Detailed Solution

Given,

Speed of sound, v = 339 m/s

Wavelength of sound, λ=1.5 cm =0.015 m

Speed of sound = Wavelength x Frequency

                               v =λ × ϑ

Substituting the values,

339 =0.015 × ϑ

ϑ = 22600 Hz

The audible frequency range of humans lies between 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz . Since the frequency of the given sound is more than 20,000 Hz , it won’t be audible.
