It is given that the perimeter of a square and rectangle are equal and the side of the square is 40cm and length of rectangle is 10cm.
Perimeter of the square = 4×length.
Substituting the given values in the above formula,
⇒perimeter of the square=4×40
⇒perimeter of the square=160cm
Perimeter of a rectangle= 2(length+breadth).
Therefore, the perimeter of rectangle will be 2(10+b).
Since, both the perimeters are equal,
⇒2(10+b) =160
 ⇒80=10+b
 ⇒b=70cm
Hence, the breadth is 70cm.
The correct option is 3.
