Detailed Solution

A tendency to take a side and an inability to take a balanced view on an issue is known as Partisanship.
It is seen in the formation of political parties as well. One who agrees with the policies and interests of the parties joins or follows that party. Thus, a party is known for the policies and interests it favours. In other words, Partisanship can be understood as taking any single side according to one’s belief. There are many instances where one takes the stance of particular people or groups. For example, one inclined to save the environment may be more supportive of environmental NGOs. In contrast, one who is inclined to the development of the infrastructure of the country might not favour such NGOs.
